How to share files in Classroom?

For a more detailed description of how to use Classroom see this article

In a live class you can share any document you have prepared in advance in lesson composer using the “document” icon in your toolbar.

Share tool from toolbar

Alternatively, you can also use the whiteboard or start a browser sharing session where you can share with your students any content which is accessible through a browser.

You also have the ability to share any document with students which require some work on their part before or after a class (i.e., homework or assignments).
To share a document, select a course and a specific date and attach an assignment that you have built in Lesson composer. Provide a due date on which students need to submit their homework.

Lastly, if you wish to share files with your registered students, you can also open a virtual locker for them. You will need to share a folder on your google Drive and students must connect their google account to it.
Please be mindful that it is against Google terms and conditions for children under the age of 13 to have a Google account unless it is provided by the child's school or parents want to take the responsibility of "breaking the rules".
