You can invite 1 or up to 10 students to take a one time class (instant class) as easily as it is to send a calendar invite. All you have to do is set a time, a price, enter the student information and click "invite". This video will explain how it works. ${youtube}Instant Class

How do parents register to a course?

Parents can register for your course in 4 ways:

On the public portal by navigating all public courses, searching your name or any keyword related to your course. Your course visibility will need to be set to public.
By having access to the course page URL created when your course was published. You can share this URL on social media or link to it from your website.
By clicking on one of your course widgets that you have installed on your website. (click here for Wix website or here if you use Wordpress)
When invited by you. You will have the possibility of inviting students in 2 minutes using the Instant Class feature or when creating a course or by navigating to the course page in your admin portal and clicking the "add members button"*

In scenario 1, 2, and 3, once parents have provided information on the student (full name and birthday to comply with Children Online Protection Privacy Act) and course or class is paid they will receive login information and you will be informed that they registered to your course. In Scenario 4 (if you decide to invite them to register) they will first receive an invitation email such as the one illustrated below, and they will then need to create their account and provide parent

Do I need an iPad or tablet to teach on Schoolified? What about my students?

No. Both teachers and students may access Schoolified via their web browser on desktop or laptop. But the experience of Schoolified is best using the Schoolified app on a stylus enabled tablet. You can download by searching for Schoolified Classroom in your favorite app store

NB: At this time, if you do not have a compatible tablet, Schoolified works best on Chrome or the most recent version of Safari if you are on a Mac.

How to open a break-out room?

Currently you can open a 1:1 breakout room with any student by doing a drop-in. This can be achieved from Grid mode or through the sub-menu which appears when you get a notification from a student in teaching mode.

How do I list a course on Schoolified?

Accepted Answer

When setting up a course you can decide to make that course public or private. If you make it public, it will be published on the Schoolified public portal. Parents will be able to see your public profile, book a free consultation with you (if you have enabled it), register, and pay for your course.
You can also decide to keep your course private, but your course page will still be accessible to anyone who has access to the URL we generated for the course. Parents will have the same abilities as on the public page but it will be hidden from Google and not accessible directly through the Schoolified public portal.

Can I see my students' screen?

Yes of course. This is one of the main features of Schoolified!

You can do this in multiple ways:

In teaching mode when a student makes a mistake, is not paying attention, or requests help, you will get a notification on the left side of the screen and you can do a drop-in on his screen
When in grid mode you can observe all of your students at once, enlarge his/her screen and decide to do a drop-in to collaborate with him or her.
You also have the ability to allow students to share their own screen using the screen share function which is accessible in your toolbar (you can enable or disable this function).

Please note that when you do a drop-in, all of the other students in your class will not hear or see anything you work on with this specific student; whereas when in grid mode, students will not be aware that you are looking at their screen.
